Doka, Grecia and Sarchi (Oxcart Factory)

Experience the charm of Costa Rica’s Central Valley on this relaxing yet enriching tour that offers a deep dive into the country's history, culture, and traditions—plus the perfect chance to pick up some world-class coffee and memorable souvenirs.

Our journey begins at the Doka Coffee Estate, a renowned working coffee plantation. Here, you'll enjoy a guided coffee tour where you’ll learn about the traditional techniques that have been used for generations to produce some of Costa Rica’s finest coffee—praised both locally and internationally.

You’ll gain hands-on insight into the meticulous process of cultivating, harvesting, and roasting the prized Golden Bean. And of course, the experience wouldn’t be complete without sampling the rich, freshly brewed result. After the tour, we'll enjoy a delicious Costa Rican buffet lunch on site.

Next, we’ll visit Grecia, a picturesque and traditional town known for its beautiful metal church. This unique structure features classic architectural lines, soaring ceilings, and intricate stained-glass windows—making it a must-see landmark.

We’ll then continue to Sarchí, often referred to as the cradle of Costa Rican craftsmanship. Here, you’ll explore vibrant artisan workshops and a local souvenir shop where you can admire and purchase handmade crafts. Sarchí is also home to the world’s largest ox cart, a Guinness World Record-holding masterpiece. Measuring two stories high, nearly 45 feet long (14 meters), and weighing over 4,400 lbs (2 tons), the cart took 70 days to complete and is beautifully painted in traditional bright colors—an iconic symbol of Costa Rican heritage.
