Tamarindo is set along the western coast of the Nicoya Peninsula. Although fairly developed, the town has a laid-back vibe and awesome surfing—in fact, international surf competitions are sometimes held here. Aside from surfing, travelers to Tamarindo can enjoy horseback riding, snorkeling, scuba diving, and sport fishing. Visits can also be made to a number of reserves and parks, including the Tamarindo National Wildlife Refuge, Parque Nacional Marino Las Baulas, and Parque Nacional Barra Honda.
The Luamey Boutique Hotel is a friendly place. Guests are made to feel like family and given first-class service from the hotel staff. The hotel’s location is perfect—the beach is about a block away and a number of restaurants, bars, and shops are nearby. Secure parking is provided for guests.
The hotel’s property is beautiful and lush—tropical plants spill over the walkways and border the pool, oftentimes attracting birds and other creatures into the hotel gardens. There are lots of places to relax outdoors – from lounge chairs to hammocks – and enjoy the scenery.
The suites at the Luamey Boutique Hotel are clean and comfortable. There are three types of suites to choose from, which are spread over two floors. All have private patios that overlook either the pool or gardens—meals can be ordered and enjoyed in this wonderful outdoor setting. All accommodations are equipped with premium pillow top queen-size beds, air conditioning, and ceiling fans. There is free Wi-Fi and flat-screen cable TVs, as well as an in-room coffee maker and safety deposit box. The suites’ elegant private bathrooms are tiled with ceramics and include a hot water shower, hair dryer, quality towels, and premium toiletries.
There is an outdoor restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. The food here is absolutely delicious. Start your day off with American pancakes, bacon, fresh fruit, and coffee. For lunch or dinner you can enjoy salmon with veggies or traditional gallo pinto.
Guests can relax besides the hotel’s large swimming pool, which offers up a perfect place to get wet and beat the heat. There are good spots to relax beside the pool, and you might even spot a family of howler monkeys lounging in the nearby trees. There is also a small onsite gym equipped with a sauna, stationary bikes, and resistance machines.
Beautiful hotel, great family owners. We enjoyed howler monkeys passing by almost every morning while we at breakfast (right beside our room) and a couple of great iguana's on the property. Very central to everything and excellent overall.
