Ocho Artisan Bungalows

These seven bungalows are close to some of Tamarindo’s friendly restaurants and services, and are even closer to the beach. Despite its central location, this bungalow’s lush grounds make for a relaxing, tropical getaway. Your hosts will make sure you have everything you need, and can offer ideas about what to do around town.

Parts of the beach are excellent for beginner surfers, with small, consistent waves. This is also a lovely spot for people watching and bonfires on the beach. You can quickly walk to a restaurant for typical Costa Rican fare, American food, or international cuisine. Or you have the option to buy some staples at one of the small supermarkets and cook in the bungalow’s kitchen. Las Baulas Marine National Park is a short drive away and makes a good destination for a day trip. Leatherback sea turtles frequent this park, especially during the nesting season from May to October. During the rest of the year the park’s beach Playa Grande makes a striking impression with its long stretch of sand and excellent waves.

Each bungalow can comfortably accommodate four guests, with 600 square feet (50 sq m) of beautifully decorated space. Ocho bungalows are made from ecologically friendly material, and these natural features blend in with the foliage that surrounds the property. You and your fellow travelers can gather on the comfortably outfitted covered patio, which overlooks the backyard’s large, tiled pool. Guests with rental cars will have free parking spaces.

There is air conditioning in the bedroom, which comes with one king bed and two single beds. The private bathroom is outfitted with a hair dryer and towels, as well as a spacious shower. Guests can use the convenient outdoor shower to keep sand out of the bungalow.

The living room area has a desk where guests can comfortably set up their laptops, and the bungalows come with free Wi-Fi. In the kitchen you’ll have a fridge, a two-burner stove, a toaster, a coffee maker, and a blender. This kitchen also has some basic cooking equipment and dishes.
