Casa Oceano

Casa Oceano sits on its own half mile (1 km) of beach. This ocean getaway provides guests with their own boogie boards. While you stay here you’ll be surrounded by Costa Rican wildlife – Casa Oceano is located inside the Tango Mar Reserve, and it’s normal to see white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, hummingbirds, iguanas, green parrots, and scarlet macaws hanging out near the house. At one of the end of the beach you’ll find tide pools formed by rocks. Peer into the pools to see small fish and crustaceans.
Near the house you can hike to a local waterfall, and along the way you’ll have even more opportunity to see Costa Rican critters in their natural habitat. While you’re staying here you should arrange to take a tour of the Nicoya Peninsula. Arrange for a local boating tour to take you to Tortuga Island. This island has lovely white sand beaches, as well as some tropical forest that makes for an interesting hike. It’s also easy to find fishing, snorkeling, and diving tours in this area.

Keep in mind that you can also use some of the nearby Tango Mar resort facilities, including the restaurant, the spa, the golf course, and the tennis courts. Casa Oceano comes with its own oceanfront infinity pool, which is just for you and your guests. Casa Oceano is equipped with a gourmet kitchen that has everything a professional chef would need. You can choose to have your meals prepared by a chef during your stay, or cook food on your own. The kitchen has a large refrigerator as well as a smaller drink refrigerator. If you feel like cooking, there is a spacious gas stove. The dishwasher makes clean up easy. In the morning, you won’t need to leave to get your caffeine fix – you can help yourself to the coffee grinder, the coffee pot, and the cappuccino machine. Guests can also bring food they’d like to grill and cook it on the barbecue.

Guests can connect to the villa’s Wi-Fi and surf the premium satellite channels. The living room has a 42-inch TV with surround sound and a Blue Ray DVD player. Go ahead and fill your space with music – there is a CD player and a dock for iPods and iPhones. You can also use the villa’s convenient printer. The house and pool will remain immaculate with the help of the daily maid service and maintenance personnel.

All of the bedrooms have air conditioning and cable TVs with DVD players. Five of the rooms have ocean views, and four come with private balconies. Three of the bedrooms have safety deposit boxes where guests can store valuables and laptops.
