This tour is an incredible introduction to the Costa Rican landscape. You’ll get to see the majestic plunge of the La Fortuna waterfall and take a tour of a local chocolate plantation.

Your tour begins with a decadent cup of chocolate. You’ll learn how a small-scale cocoa plantation operates, and see how the oblong yellow pods of cacao transform into smooth, silky chocolate.

Next you’ll visit the La Fortuna waterfall. La Fortuna is just outside of the extinct Cerro Chato Volcano. The cascade is 246 feet (75 m) tall. To get to the fall you’ll walk down a flight 500. Once at the bottom, you can take a swim in the plunge pool before hiking back up the stairs.
