Afterward you’ll head to La Fortuna to swim in the misty plunge pool of a 246-foot (75-m) waterfall. To get there you’ll walk down a flight of 500 steps (so save some energy for the walk back!)
Your tour will end in a cacao plantation, learning about the role chocolate plays in the local culture. Here you’ll also get to try a fresh chocolate concoction.

Traveler Comments
By far the best tour of the trip. The guide was outstanding, very knowledgeable and friendly. The hanging bridges tour was very informative and not too busy with tourists so didn't feel like we were being herded around. Swam in the waterfall which was a great experience, had a delicious lunch and the chocolate tour was a highlight. Learned about the traditional way to make chocolate and opportunity for a lot of samples. Highly recommend
This was outstanding. Loved seeing the wildlife, etc. We had a most knowledgeable guide and were grateful for that. My husband did not do the first part because of the possible difficulty of the terrain, but we both did the La Fortuna waterfall. But, most of all, the chocolate tour was incredible. Learned a lot about the origin of chocolate and certainly enjoyed the tastings. WOW!!! Our host there was terrific as well.
We REALLY enjoyed are time with Jessica at Eden Organics chocolate plantation. Her and her husbands passion for what they do is infectious! Their property is beautiful and Jessica pointed out various nature interests on the tour, including a mother and baby sloth as well as a blue jean frog. We really enjoyed participating in the making of the chocolate and especially eating it, it was delicious! We HIGHLY recommend this tour!
