Take this tour to experience traditional Costa Rican food and to help create a three-course meal. The kitchen has a view of the Arenal Volcano, and the evening comes with all-you-can-drink cocktails. Everyone is welcome — from experienced home chefs to visitors who are really only interested in the tasty final product.

The menu here focuses on fresh Costa Rican ingredients, with selections like mint mojitos and zesty ceviche. Chef Scott Alan bills himself as a “tropical food chef,” and he’s happy to share his expertise. As you cook, he’ll tell you about how the ingredients get from the farm to his table. Some of the recipes might be familiar to North American audiences, but they all come with a fruity Costa Rican twist.

Best of all, you can choose how much you want to cook – ask the chef for cooking tips as much as you want, or simply sit back with your drink and watch as your meal is lovingly prepared. Either way, the sunny, open-plan kitchen is a lovely place to unwind. It’s also easily accessible from the town of La Fortuna, located a short distance from the famous La Fortuna Waterfall.
