Costa Rica’s landscape will inspire you to get outside. In this two-part tour, you’ll get to make the most of the outdoor playground that Costa Rica’s rainforest provides.
Just outside of La Fortuna, your tour guide will show you to a stunning canyon, set in the midst of a tropical rainforest. This canyon is a rocky paradise for anyone that likes to rock climb. It echoes with the sounds of an enormous waterfall rushing over one of its sides. Besides rock climbing, you can also rappel down the waterfall, and head over to the Monkey Drop station for a zip line ride.
From there, your guide will bring you to the tour’s base camp, nestled in the midst of colorful gardens. You’ll eat a traditional Costa Rican lunch before you set out for the second part of your tour.
After lunch, you’ll take a 15-minute drive to Club Rio. Club Rio is a riverside adventure center that also serves as an animal refuge. Before your activities, you’ll get a tour of the refuge so you can see some of Costa Rica’s native fauna.
Then you’ll get to pick 2 of the 5 following activities: horseback riding, rock climbing, tubing, kayaking, or relaxing in the hot springs. You don’t need experience with any of the activities on this tour, and a helpful guide will be there to answer your questions and help you with equipment.
Quick-drying clothes, lightweight hiking shoes, water shoes, jeans (if you plan on horseback riding), bathing suit, and a final change of clothes.
Lunch, bilingual tour guide, transportation to canyon and Club Rio, and all necessary equipment.
