The two-story Hotel Mar de Luz sits on a quiet street just a short walking distance from the center of Playa de Jacó. While it is centrally located next to the town’s bustling shops, bars, and restaurants, the tucked away hotel achieves an atmosphere of remarkable tranquility and restfulness.
Each of the hotel’s accommodations opens to a small porch or balcony over-looking the intimate hotel grounds, which feature lush tropical gardening and two neighboring pools. Breakfast is included in the hotel stay, and rooms include a basic kitchenette and mini-refrigerator suitable for preparing snacks and small meals.
This hotel is a little gem in the heart of Jaco. Only a few minutes walk to beach and restaurants and yet you felt like you were private. The grounds and pool were lovely. A great play area for children. Breakfast was good and the hotel felt very safe.
