Local wood products – including acacia, teak and cedar – are employed from floor to ceiling, and the roof is composed of natural clay tiles that help keep the casitas cool and their energy consumption down.
Fortunately, no amount of comfort has been sacrificed in their construction. A gorgeous, four-post king size bed centers the room and provides guests with a divine spot to sleep or nap. A window-side sofa offers up a perfect place to read or relax, and can double as a bed for extra guests. There is an open-roofed shower area in the bathroom, and the entire casita is kept cool with air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Cooking meals is simple in the basic kitchen, while a cable TV and wireless internet offer up downtime diversion.
A step outside leads to a small covered terrace with ocean views. Beyond this, the hotel’s 4-acre property invites guests to unwind in a hammock or cool off at the swimming pool. This saltwater pool hugs the beach and is surrounded by a sun deck that’s stocked with lounge chairs and shade umbrellas.
