Damas Island Surf Lessons

Surfing is one of Costa Rica’s most popular activities, no matter what time of year. On a half-day surfing tour of Damas Island you’ll get a small piece of the action all to yourself.

At the outset of a tour you will take a short boat ride across a river. On Damas Island you’ll find a lovely, empty beach. While you’re here you won’t have to worry about bumping into other surfers. There are no restaurants on the island, so when you’re ready for some refreshment your instructors will provide a picnic lunch. Waves break to the left and the right, and sometimes form perfect barrels. You’ll get lots of practice surfing while you’re here, as the waves in this area are quite consistent. This class has a healthy student-to-instructor ratio so you can get plenty of personalized attention.
