Discover the beauty of Costa Rica when you spend some time playing in the Southern Caribbean region. 'Punta Uva' translates as 'Grape Point' because of all of the sea grape trees found in the region. You'll enjoy clean, picturesque beaches almost as far as your eye can see, because no development is allowed within 164 feet (50 meters) of the ocean's high tide line. Easily accessible from Limón, Manzanilla, Puerto Viejo, and San José, the region is a popular choice for beachside fun and outdoor adventure.
The Punta Uva Experience
This tour gives you a sampling of all that the region has to offer. You'll glide across the ocean where you'll have an incredible vantage point of the rainforests, caves, and cliffs that dot the landscape. You'll then make your way to a river; be sure to look carefully as you paddle past the riverbanks where sloths, tropical birds, monkeys, and more make their home.
After your kayaking but before your hike, you'll head back to the beach to play in the sun, swim, and enjoy a delicious refreshments — fresh fruit and other snacks. Next, your guide will take you on a hike that gives you an excellent view of the entirety of Punta Uva. After your rigorous hike, you'll return to your hotel to take a shower, freshen up, and enjoy lunch on your own.

Traveler Comments
This guide was great. He showed up a half hour late BUT did an excellent job with our tour.
Our guide Enrique was great. He answered lots of questions and pointed out wildlife . His English was great. We could not go out kayaking in the sea. The conditions made it to dangerous. But kayaking up the river was lovely. The equipment was in good shape. Safety was a considered. We enjoyed the whole thing
