This tour combines everything Costa Rica is about. The guides are warm and friendly, typical of the Tico people. A tour on horseback is a very common and well-loved part of a Latin American vacation. The environment of Costa Rica is all about the smooth transition of jungle to ocean. This tour takes through both. After getting comfortable on the sweet and calm horses you will head towards the Buenavista river. Then it is off into the dense jungle to experience the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Following the path, you will end up at Buenavista Beach. This grey sand beach and fresh ocean spray can only be described as purely Costa Rican. Your horses will splash through the waves on the shoreline for a magical experience. The tour lasts about 2.5 hours.

The two guides were excellent. The owners provide a first rate experience. The three hour ride takes you through the jungle and across water. The highlight is riding on an almost deserted Pacific Beach. Take water, a hat and wear sunscreen.
