On this tour, we explore the breathtaking Marino Ballena National Park while searching for marine wildlife such as Pacific spotted dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and sea turtles. Along the way, you’ll admire the striking rock formations of Ballena Island (also known as Whale Rock) and the Tres Hermanas Islets, home to fascinating wildlife including brown boobies, frigate birds, and green iguanas.

If ocean conditions and water visibility allow, we will enjoy snorkeling near Whale Rock or over the reefs of Punta Uvita, famously known as the Whale’s Tail. When snorkeling is not possible due to conditions, there will still be time to swim and relax in the warm tropical waters.

Additionally, this tour includes a scenic pass by the iconic Whale’s Tail natural formation and a visit along Ventanas Beach, where you can observe impressive marine caves carved by the ocean over time.

Throughout the journey, you’ll be surrounded by the stunning coastal scenery and rich biodiversity that make Marino Ballena National Park one of Costa Rica’s most remarkable natural treasures.

Please note: Unfortunately, this is NOT “whale season,” so we cannot guarantee that you’ll see any whales on this trip, but we’ll explore the ocean for other marine life.
