Heliconias Nature Inn is located 11 miles (18 km) outside La Fortuna at the base of the Arenal Volcano. This hotel has a friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms.

Heliconias Nature Inn is a peasant hotel set on the outskirts of Arenal. The hotel is surrounded by lush plants and has a relaxed, outdoorsy setting—guests can even enjoy bird watching on the hotel grounds.

The rooms here are rustic and intimate. There are two types of rooms available—treehouse rooms and bungalow rooms.

The four treehouse rooms are surrounded by trees and overlook the hotel gardens. Three of the tree houses are set 10 feet (3 m) off the ground, while one is 20 feet (6 m) off the ground. Each of the tree houses have a single double bed.

The six bungalow rooms are individual wooden cabins. All hotel accommodations have a private bathroom with a hot water shower. There is air conditioning and a fan to keep the rooms cool, and a mini-fridge where you can store drinks and snacks. The accommodations also have wide internal spaces and balconies where you can enjoy the outdoors. Bungalow rooms have two double beds.

During downtime, guests can head to the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool. The pool is clean and refreshing, a perfect place to cool off or soak up sun. The pool is suitable for both children and adults. When hunger strikes, you can find a variety of tasty meals at the onsite restaurant. The restaurant serves authentic Costa Rica food at affordable prices.
