During your stay you should check out the orchid garden on the grounds of the reserve. This garden helps preserve several endangered species of these incredible flowers. Gaia Hotel and Reserve is a short drive north of Manuel Antonio National Park, which is an incredible haven for sloths, monkeys, and tropical birds. Manuel Antonio also has a lovely coastline and is known for its excellent surfing. It has easy enough waves for beginner surfers. In the surrounding waters you can find underwater wildlife that makes this a nice destination for snorkeling and diving trips. Studio rooms are 350 square feet (32 sq m), and come with bedrooms and small living areas that are outfitted with comfortable furniture and sofa beds. Furnishings are sleek and stylish, and the layout of the rooms allows for good natural lighting. There are 42-inch TVs that have Netflix. You can also reserve a 2,000 square foot (185 sq m) villa, or choose one of the hotel’s elegant suites. You can access free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Furnishings come in gentle shades, and natural wood and stone materials dominate the design. Accommodations all have central air conditioning. In the private bathroom you’ll find high-end toiletries and a stone shower. You’ll always find the room fresh and clean thanks to the twice-daily maid service. From your room you can step out onto a shared patio that overlooks the lush reserve. Help yourself to the drinks at the minibar, and remember that you can order room service 24/7. At Gaia Hotel there are three terraces, each with its own outdoor pool. There is a bar at the edge of one of the pools – swim to the edge to order a drink. Towels and sun block are complimentary. You can lounge on any of the three sundecks, and the surrounding rainforest has incredible wildlife where you can occasionally see sloths, monkeys, and birds. Guests can visit the business center to use the two desktop computers, as well as the print and fax machines. You can also arrange to use the audio and visual equipment. In the spa you can sign up for treatments that use local ingredients like volcanic clay and cocoa beans. There is a steam room, a sauna, and a Vichy rain shower. Choose from facials, body wraps, scrubs, and massages, to name just a few of the options available.
At La Luna Restaurant the hotel chefs serve their own versions of Costa Rican cuisine and a variety of light, healthy fare. You can also choose from a selection of international comfort food. Visit the exercise room and get a good workout using the cardio machines, weight machines, and the free weights.
Best service ever...decided after an hour there to change our three night stay away o a six night stay. Loads of monkeys, sloths and red macaws. Best if you have a car and can explore the area.
Beautiful hotel and beautiful reserve. I would recommend this to anyone. Impeccable service. Everyone should take advantage of the complimentary tour of the grounds and macaw sanctuary.
Fantastic hotel, grounds, pools etc... exquisite. Staff was remarkable, restaurant was incredible, food was so fresh and delicious. Spa was incredible. Had the privilege of meeting the owner, Boris, couldn't have been nicer, even insisted upon a complimentary spa treatment for my wife's sunburn. Truly exceeded all our highest expectations.
