La Foresta has beautifully maintained trails where you can fill several days with hiking. In addition to soaking up nature on the grounds of the resort, you can drive 30 minutes from the reserve to Marino Ballena National Park. People visit this park for whale watching tours and guided tours of the mangroves. If you’re in the mood for a day at the beach, visit the park’s Playa Uvita for swimming and snorkeling. La Foresta is also a short shuttle ride away from the pristine beach at Manuel Antonio National Park.
You can choose from spacious rooms, private villas, or casitas. Handmade art hangs on the walls, with bright colors that contrast with the neutral furnishings. All of the rooms are air conditioned. Each accommodation has a private bathroom with a hair dryer. These accommodations were designed with the environment in mind, and the bathrooms have hot water heated with solar power.
All of the rooms have high speed Wi-Fi and phones that come with complimentary local calls. You’ll also have access to a mini refrigerator and a coffee maker with complimentary Costa Rican coffee. Unwind after your jungle tours in front of the flat screen cable TV. When you leave for your adventurous activities, store your belongings in the in-room safety deposit box, which is large enough to fit a laptop.
There’s a daily a la carte breakfast included in your stay, prepared with fresh local ingredients. For the rest of your meals, order from the menu at the on-site restaurant, which is surrounded by a wide variety of tropical plants. At sports bar you can order a cold one, a glass of wine, or from an extensive list of classic Costa Rican cocktails. If you don’t feel like leaving your room, help yourself to the room service.
