Hotel El Pelicano

From the hotel, you’ll have great views of the Talamanca mountain range as well as Mount Chirripó, which is Costa Rica's highest point. Hotel El Pelícano is in San Gerardo de Rivas, a small town with its own set of attractions, including a hot spring called Aguas Termales. This town also has a few restaurants you can try. When you’re ready to take a hike in Cerro Chirripó National Park, you only have to take a 6-minute drive to the entrance to the park. This park is home to rare animals including tapirs and jaguars.

This hotel’s common areas have a display of wooden sculptures. The hotel restaurant serves traditional Costa Rican food as well as some vegetarian options, and a free breakfast is included in your stay. There is a polished indoor dining room as well as an outdoor seating area.
