Sarapiqui River Safari Guided Tour

The Sarapiqui River flows along the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua and is home to some of the country's most gorgeous scenery. During this 2-hour river safari, you'll ride a comfortable boat down the Sarapiqui River and have ample opportunities to spot a range of wildlife.

The Sarapiqui River runs through a variety of environments - tropical wet forest, mountains, pastures, and more. The river is popular with rafters, who come to ride its rapids, but it also has calmer sections that are perfect for leisurely, safari-style floats. This tour is a relaxed boat trip aimed at exploring the river's vibrant ecosystem.

As your boat cruises down the river, be on the lookout for wildlife in the water and on the land. You may be able to see monkeys, iguanas, sloths, crocodiles, alligators, otters, and a variety of bird species. Your guides will help you spot animals and explain the ecological significance of the surrounding area.

This tour lasts two hours and takes place on a comfortable, modern boat. The boat has a special motor that is designed to minimize impact on the environment.
