IncludedThe El Silencio property is a vast, 555-acre (225 ha) reserve with over 247 acres (100 ha) of primary rainforest. Visitors will experience a guided hike of the reserve and learn about the flora and fauna as well as the Arenal volcano. The second portion of the trip includes a visit to the Baldi Hot Springs.
The El Silencio Mirador is a series of hiking trails and nature reserve located 7.4 miles (12 km) from La Fortuna and 3 miles (5 km) from the Arenal Volcano National Park. The El Silencio Mirador also offers extraordinary views of the Arenal Volcano at the Mirador lookout and of old growth trees including the Ceiba, Trumpet Tree, and Guarumo.
El Silencio Mirador is located in the high-risk zone because of its close proximity to the Arenal Volcano, it is an area where new construction is not permitted but for the last 40 years it has been a safe place to observe the volcano and admire the spectacular view.
The Baldi Hot Springs is composed of dozens of hot and cold pools that vary a great deal in temperature and is a sprawling facility that includes 3 swim-up bars, 2 waterslides, restaurant, spa, and changing rooms. After 15 to 20 minutes of sitting in the hot springs, your core body temperature will be significantly elevated and it is important to cool off in the cold pools throughout your visit.
