During this tour visitors will experience a guided hike of the Mirador Reserve and learn about the flora and fauna of the reserve as well as the natural history of the Arenal Volcano. The second portion of the trip includes a visit to the Eco Termales Hot Springs.

The El Silencio Mirador is a series of hiking trails and nature reserve located 7.4 miles (12 km) from La Fortuna and 3 miles (5 km) from the Arenal Volcano National Park. The El Silencio property is a vast 555 acres (225 ha) reserve, with over 247 acres (100 ha) of primary rainforest that includes many old-growth trees including the Ceiba, Trumpet Tree, and Guarumo.

The El Silencio Mirador also offers extraordinary views of the Arenal Volcano at the Mirador lookout. El Silencio Mirador is located in the high-risk zone because of its close proximity to the Arenal Volcano, it is an area where new construction is not permitted, but for the last 40 years it has been a safe place to observe the volcano and admire the spectacular view.

Eco Termales Hot Springs in Arenal Costa Rica is a sanctuary of nature and beauty that has been the life work of the Hidalgo family. The smallest of the Arenal Hot Springs, Eco Termales is geared toward privacy and relaxation and does not accept more than 100 visitors at a time. Visitors are invited to enjoy the beautiful environment as guests of the Hidalgo family, and not as walk-in tourists.

Eco Termales hot springs is a family-run operation. The 4 pools vary in temperature — the coolest one is 91 degrees Fahrenheit and the hottest one is 105 Fahrenheit. One of the pools has a cascading waterfall with misty water that is quite refreshing.

Dinner is included and will be offered at a nice restaurant very close by.
