Lowlands Mangrove Walk

Hacienda Barú is known for its rare lowland mangroves. These lowlands are home to some of the most spectacular bird watching in the region.

During your tour, you’ll stop at a bird blind to observe some of the wetland birds, as well as monkeys, and sloths. You’ll also see the mangrove trees, their roots dipping into the salt water. These trees are essential to the ecosystem and are protected by law.
