Venture out into the darkness and experience the wonders of a jungle at night. The tour takes place in the Rainmaker Park. This park is filled with impressive Costa Rican wildlife. The believed extinct harlequin frog was rediscovered here and spring boarded biodiversity research in this area.
The Night Jungle Tour is unlike another forest walk in the Central Pacific. For three hours you will delve into a world few get to see. Your professional guide will point out bats, Jesus Christ lizard, spiders, owls, high varieties of frogs, snakes and many interesting insects. You will even get to walk out over the suspension bridges to raise your adrenaline and get your blood pumping. The tour will take you for a great Costa Rican dinner after the walk and then back to your hotel.
What to Bring
Camera, hiking shoes, long pants, insect repellent, bottle of water and your own lights if you wish
Transportation, entrance fee to the park, professional LED lights for each customer, one nature specialist, typical Costa Rican dinner and drinks after the walk.

Loved it and our tour guide was a big part of it too!
Another tour that was led by Edgar. There were only two of us in this tour which made it special as we got plenty of time to ask questions and observe creatures at night. In addition, we had a guide in training as part of the group. So it was like having a bonus with two people who know the night time wildlife. I had not know so many different kinds of frogs could be found. We had a special experience when Edgar found two rare salamanders. His excitement added to mine when seeing the salamanders. Dinner at the open air dining room out in the dark woods was another exciting enhancement to the tour. It gave us time to debrief, exchange stories and ask further questions. Dinner is a good idea.
Great guide. Saw amazing animals

The jungle is a noisy place at night. You can get closer to the source of all that nighttime music at a wildlife refuge called Si Como No. Take the nighttime tour of the amphibian gardens to see reptiles, toads, insects, and tree frogs in their nocturnal habitat.
