Manuel Antonio is known for bright blue waters and pristine environment. Sea kayaking is less demanding than kayaking on a river, and is well suited to adventurers that have never tried kayaking before.
You’ll get to paddle past the islands that dot this part of the Pacific, which are flourishing habitats for seafaring birds, including pelicans. As you glide over the water you may catch a glimpse of flying fish and sea turtles swimming near your boat. Your expert guide will show you how to use the equipment, and help you spot animals in the sky and in the water.
What to Bring
Sunscreen, bathing suit, towel, quick-drying hiking clothes, water shoes (or other rubber-soled shoes), and a change of clothes.

Professional guide, U.S. Coast Guard approved equipment, local transportation, breakfast and dinner at the Amigos del Río Restaurant, as well as snacks.

Many of our tours and activities offer transportation pick up & drop off options from several locations and destinations. Options vary by tour, see “BOOKING REQUEST” for full details.
Traveler Comments
Interesting & knowledgeable guide. Great safety program.
The guide was excellent and had a great sense of humor. We enjoyed our breakfast and the pineapple that the guide provided on our trip.

The Damas Island estuary is just fifteen minutes outside of Manuel Antonio. Mangroves are born where ocean waters meet fresh water rivers, creating an underwater rooting system amongst the trees.
This tour takes you down some of Savegre River’s exciting Class II rapids in an inner tube. You’ll find this section of the river brisk, but not too fast for comfortable tubing.
