Very nice - Guide Mauricio was good. My 1st time snorkeling and nice little area - nothing great but good way to start.
I rated the experience as a 4 as I thought it was a little rough to get in but was still a fun tour
This was a perfect outing. Just me and Luis, but they take groups and as many people as are with you. I was by myself and they had no other bookings for this trip on this day, so I had the privilege of undivided attention. I'm glad I chose to Kayak in one Kayak with Luis rather than each taking our own. Not sure if I would have been able to make it back on my own. It's a lot of work, even with two people. We went to Capitan Island. Luis was very knowledgable and willing to take pictures of me since I suck at selfies. He knew history, birds, crustaceans and so much more. We explored the island first and got close to pelicans, cormorants and the crabs they were eating. Then we went snorkeling. He was very cognizant of my location and showed me many interesting things like sea spiders which are amazing, but I was afraid to touch. I did touch the pufferfish he found. Snorkeling is always interesting and fun. My biggest accomplishment was not getting sunburned. I was diligent in putting on 70 spf sunblock and it really paid off. I was picked up on time. Afterward, I was given an yummy milkshake and was told I would be taken back to my hotel whenever I was ready. I drank my milkshake and was ready to go. Transportation was a 4-wheeler, which cracked me up because the villages I've been working in use 4-wheelers as the primary mode of transportation. Except where I live, it's 10 above to 50 below fahrenheit. Safety was strictly observed and he often checked in with me to make sure I was ok. An added bonus was, as a result of spending so much time in the ocean, my core temperature came down nicely so I didn't feel the heat that evening as oppressively as I had been. My bag of "stuff" was stored in their office. I felt it was safe there.
The Marlin del Rey Catamaran Tour is a great activity for family and friends to enjoy ocean breezes and coastline scenery while sipping delicious tropical drinks. Feel the wind in your hair and bask in the sun while sailing silently past beautiful bays and sandy beaches.
