Traveling Solo In Arenal and Monteverde
Most of my vacation activities would be considered more adventurous for some, but definitely recommended if you’re traveling solo and want to meet people on the way! I love Costa Rica and plan to return again.
Traveling solo, but not alone…
On this Costa Rica vacation I was traveling alone, but I was pretty confident that I would be participating in tours and excursions where I would get to meet other travelers experiencing the country as well. I was looking for a balance of activities, relaxation, and some nightlife during my trip. Alejandra from Anywhere was wonderful. She answered all of my questions, handled my concerns, AND always answered my questions *promptly*.
The highlight of this trip…
My favorite part of the trip was the Pacuare River rafting trip that was 2-days with an overnight stay at Rios Tropicales. It was a great experience overall! The guides were all smart, skilled, and fun. The rafting trip, jungle side-trips, and lunches were all Lovely. Rios Tropicales Lodge was both beautiful and casual. The cabins were great, as were the premises. Dinner and breakfast were too. I can't say enough good things. I'd definitely do it again. Another fun thing to do in Arenal was the hanging bridges at Mistico; the views are stunning.
The beauty of Monteverde…
In Monteverde, I really enjoyed the horseback riding experience. My guide was wonderful, and I saw a coyote, 2 owls, a vulture, and a lot of pretty orchids on the way. The scenery of Monteverde is beautiful and I’d recommend it to anyone.
