Jessica is an excellent trip planner. We were a large party of eight and she knew just the right recommendations that catered to each of our tastes and interests. It was only a short trip of 6 days, and we spent most of it in Arenal. Our hotel, Kioro Arenal, was situated right in the middle of the rainforest. The view out the window was stunning, including the volcano itself! The Arenal Volcano hike was very refreshing. The guide was phenomenal.

My favorite experience was rafting; rafting on the Sarapiqui River was just a *superb* experience. The guides really know what they are doing, and how to make it a great experience for the whole crew. Not only did we get to experience the exhilarating process of navigating the rapid waters, but he also pointed out lots of wildlife and interesting things to see on the way.

Sarapiqui River
Originating from clear mountain streams, the Sarapiqui River runs from the Central Mountain Range just north of San Jose to the San Marcos River which runs along the shared border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The river is considered a national monument because of the vital service it provided in transporting arms, goods and soldiers in the 1856 war against the filibusters.
