The Guided Natural History Walk through the Hanging Bridges usually take around 3 hours. Although it is hard to predict exactly what you will encounter the day of the tour it is very common to see many different species of birds, howler monkeys and lizards.
The hanging bridges can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages and physical conditions. It is recommended that visitors bring comfortable walking shoes and waterproof jackets.

We visited the Arenal and the Tamarindo areas. Tourism appears to be the only industry that we saw. It is obvious that Costa Rica needs tourism to provide for its growth and environmental efforts. It is refreshing to have seen such little development in those areas. Our lower rating for "returning in the future" is because we typicall do not repeat vacations destinations.

We thought it was going to be a fun and relaxing honeymoon, but our trip to Costa Rica was much more substantial than that. It was amazing talking to the local Costa Ricans. The overall pace of life is calmer. There is so much more respect in Costa Rica. Respect for each other, respect for the environment, the animals, and life in general. We learned a lot on our trip, and can not wait to return. We highly recommend Costa Rica. Pura Vida!
