This three-hour tour will take you into the rainforest to see an incredible variety of birds. This is an early-morning tour that begins at 5:00 am.

Early morning is the best time of day to see birds – this is when they’re the most active. Your guide will take you to the best spot for seeing this area’s rare species, and will pick a trail based on the time of year. You might end up hiking around the Arenal Volcano, a local reserve, or Arenal’s hanging bridges.

Your guide will have lots of experience looking for birds, and will bring a telescope so that you can get a closer look. Be ready with your camera! You never know what other wildlife you might see along the way.

Before you head back to the hotel you’ll stop for a picnic breakfast.

Tennis or hiking shoes, a water bottle, raincoat, comfortable clothes, bug spray, and a camera.
