This combination tour includes a safari float along the Peñas Blancas River and a visit to the La Fortuna Waterfall. It’s a great introduction to the Arenal area.

This tour begins at 7:30 AM. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Peñas Blancas River, arriving at 8:00 AM—this is the time of day when birds and animals are most active. As such, travelers will have awesome opportunities to see wildlife and experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest. The float takes 2 to 3 hours and is suitable for the whole family. Tropical fruit will be offered during the float.

After the safari float, you’ll drive to the La Fortuna Waterfall. The La Fortuna Waterfall cascades from a lush forest into a cold and clear pool. You’ll have the opportunity to swim, take photos, or simply enjoy the scenery.

Lunch is included at the end of this tour. A local family will prepare a delicious, typical-style meal. You’ll probably be hungry from all the activities and are sure to enjoy this home-cooked food.
