Nature Trip with Friends
Costa Rica is a wonderful destination with many microclimates and great awareness of the environment. A very beautiful country with so much diversity — we would definitely recommend to others who love the natural world.
This is the best trip of our lives...
Costa Rica is a wonderful destination with many microclimates and great awareness of the environment. We wanted this trip to be an ecotour filled with educational hikes, birdwatching, adventure, and some relaxing times by the beach too. When we were researching the country, we came across a lot of information and resources, and it was extremely helpful to have Anywhere help us navigate and whittle it all down to a perfect plan.
The absolute highlight of this trip…
In Monteverde, we stayed at the Trapp Family Lodge — great woodsy feel with comfortable beds and a nice sitting area. It was at a great location for us, close to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. We had a birding tour in the park, and a Quetzal sighting right from the parking lot! Finally, when we were in Manuel Antonio, we stayed at Hotel Costa Verde. We were surprised at the amount of property of this hotel, and the abundant wildlife on the lush grounds. We saw lots of monkeys and a great variety of birds. The rooms were spacious and comfortable; the balconies had a great view of the ocean, which we spent some lovely times swimming in. The beach in the park was beautiful, and we had a great guided walk.
A beautiful destination with amazing guides
The private drivers that took us from one location to another were all awesome. As well as being efficient and professional, our driver stopped to let us look at the alligators along the way. We also stopped at a fantastic restaurant with a covered patio and delicious local food of good value. All of our guides were helpful and knowledgeable and conveyed the ideas of sustainability. Costa Rica is a very beautiful country with so much diversity — we would definitely recommend to others who love the natural world.
