Alfonso was great at planning our trip. He got back to us the same day we asked a question — we loved the quick responses. Our itinerary included Arenal, Monteverde, and Manuel Antonio, all at a relaxing pace. We booked guided tours that allowed us to enjoy and learn about each area with a local guide. It was a great way to experience this new country!
My favorite hotel from this trip…
Arenal Nayara was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The beauty of the property really highlights the natural environment of Arenal, and the staff was great. I loved going into La Fortuna; it was a nice and charming town. We were there at night and felt perfectly safe. We did not get to see the volcano due to the weather but that was ok, we knew we might not get to see it.
The best way to travel…
In my opinion, private transport is the way to go. It felt so personal and VIP. It also allowed us to set the pace we wanted to travel. If we needed to stop for pictures, food, or the bathroom, the driver was more than willing to do whatever to satisfy us. The vehicles were VERY clean, and every driver was on time or early.
