Our family of six was looking forward to this Costa Rica getaway, hoping to rejuvenate from this vacation before heading back to work respectively. As we anticipated, this was a magical experience and I would go back in a heartbeat.
A magical family trip we’ll never forget…
I have to say, I was nervous. What were we going to do if no one was there waiting for us? Turns out, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We couldn't have been happier with the activities and coordination of rides — it was PERFECT! We are a fun family and were up for just about any experience. My kids loved the zip line experience, and I had to try it once just to say, "I’ve done it." My husband did not want to zip line, so they took him along on a long hike, which he loved. His guide was outstanding.
Don’t miss out on the early birdwatching tours!
The hanging bridge and birdwatching tour was the BEST! Great guides made the experience exponentially good. Going early was the best because there really were only a few people in the forest, and by the time we finished seeing wild boar, spider monkeys, toucans, bats, and LOTS of birds, the place was filling up. The breakfast and coffee were outstanding. It was a favorite tour for all of us.
Montezuma swept us off our feet…
We stayed at Ylang Ylang in Montezuma, and it was amazing. The living quarters were like little gnome houses nestled in the jungle. Monkeys everywhere...watch out because they are not shy. The beaches were stunning. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We then flew from Tambor in a 10-seater plane to San Jose, which gave us a final look at the beautiful countryside and ocean. The whole Anywhere team, especially Leonardo, was so responsive and accommodating. When our flight was delayed, I sent an email and received an immediate response from the team. Everything was so well coordinated and fun — couldn't have asked for anything more. This was a magical experience and I would go back in a heartbeat.
