Hotel Cala Lodge Monteverde

The Cala Lodge is located in Monteverde. Set within Costa Rica’s rich central highlands, this area is replete with bountiful rainforests, rolling hills, and a spectacular amount of biodiversity.

Monteverde caters to all kinds of travelers – young or old, active or sedate, groups or individuals. Rightly so, the rainforest reserves are one of the main reasons that people come here. They are teeming with plants and wildlife and have extensive trail systems. Aside from exploring these reserves, travelers will enjoy visits to cultural attractions – including museums, coffee plantations, and the cheese factory – as well as more exciting activities, including zip-line and mountain bike tours.

Adjacent to the Children’s Eternal Rainforest, the Cala Lodge provides travelers with easy access to all of the area’s attractions. The Eternal Rainforest can be visited without difficulty, and there are a number of restaurants, shops and diversions within close proximity.

The Lodge is set on a 31.2 hectare of land, including a portion of forested land. Native tree and flower species attract birds and other animals that guests can observe from their balcony. The accommodations are cozy and surrounded by trees. They have quality wooden furniture and employ a soothing color scheme of greens and yellows. Large windows let in an ample amount of light, and private balconies provide a great place to read or relax. All rooms have a private hot water bathroom.

There is a small reading area in the main lodge. Set up with sofas and surrounded by tall windows, this area is a pleasant place to converse, read or relax. The hotel’s small restaurant serves up a tasty breakfast every morning. Although no meals are provided beyond breakfast, there are several restaurants within walking distance.
