Trying rappelling for the first time!
This trip to Costa Rica was very memorable. We did many things like rappelling and rafting for the first time. We chose the beginner’s level for our rappelling tour, and the guides really took care of us and helped us along the way. A calm stretch of the Balsa River allowed us to see a lot of wildlife. We saw lovely birds and animals. Midway through the rafting tour, the guide also offered us delicious fruits to give us energy.
You must try this excursion...
Our favorite excursion is the La Fortuna Waterfall and Volcano Hike. Although it does require some energy to go up and down around 500 steps on the hike, the guides were excellent and helped make the experience fun. Pick and drop off was efficient and prompt. The volcano hike is a great activity and if you don’t go, you’ll miss out on some of the best views of Costa Rica!

Leo Navarro was an excellent trip planner. He scheduled activities that we enjoyed a lot. He answered many of my questions promptly and put us up in great places. Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (Reserva Biologica del Bosque Nuboso de Monteverde) is where some of the best-kept cloud forest in all of Costa Rica can be found. It is a cloud forest, not a rain forest, due to its elevation of 4,724 ft (1,440 m) above sea level. Some of the best bird-watching can be done inside and outside the reserve.
Arenal Volcano National Park
The Arenal Volcano National Park packs all of Costa Rica's allure into one place: incredible hiking, magnificent views, abounding wildlife and the country's most active volcano. Hiking and horseback riding tours allow you to get up close and personal with this incredible area, which encompasses close to 30,000 acres (12,000 ha) and extends into eight different life zones.
