As you paddle gently down the calm waters, your guide will highlight the rich array of wildlife inhabiting this lush ecosystem. Keep an eye out for spider and howler monkeys, sloths, lizards, and a variety of colorful tropical birds. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a crocodile. This tour is perfect for nature enthusiasts of all types, offering a peaceful and informative way to experience the beauty of the rainforest.
La Fortuna Waterfall This destination is a must-see when visiting Arenal. The combination of lush vegetation, crystal-clear water, and the stunning 229-foot (65-meter) waterfall creates a truly breathtaking scene. Be sure to bring your swimsuit, as this is a fantastic opportunity to swim in refreshing natural waters.
To reach the pool beneath the falls, you'll descend a trail with 498 steps. The climb back up typically takes between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your fitness level. It’s a rewarding experience well worth the effort, offering both natural beauty and a refreshing swim.
