Your guide will take you on a walking tour to see the unusual landscape that surrounds the Arenal Volcano, following a trail through a vibrant secondary rainforest. The trail leads to an excellent view of the Arenal Volcano. Visitors must keep their distance, as the volcano is still active.
Floating on the Rio Peñas Blancas is an excellent opportunity to see Costa Rican wildlife, including monkeys, crocodiles, and sloths. This tour also includes a stop at the La Fortuna Waterfall, which is 230 feet (70 m) tall. Once walk down the steep set of steps that leads to the base of the waterfall, you can go for a swim under the breathtaking plunge.
Paradise Hot Springs recreates the experience of stumbling on a geothermal oasis in the middle of the rainforest. Rainforest foliage surrounds the different pools, and each pool has a different temperature. They are all heated by underground geothermal activity. Waterfalls flow from one pool to the other. Paradise Hot Springs also has a buffet — a freshly prepared dinner is included in your visit — as well as a bar that serves cocktails.

Known as the "white water gem of Costa Rica's Atlantic slope", the Penas Blancas River runs right through the Tilaran Mountain Range in north central Costa Rica. It then converges with the San Carlos River east of the Arenal Volcano.
