IncludedIf your time in Arenal is limited, or if you just want to pack lots of action in to a single day, then the 4-in-1 Arenal tour is just what your itinerary needs. This is an all-day tour, and includes many of the best sights that Arenal has to offer.
Your day will begin with a Safari float on the Peñas Blancas River, where you'll look for tropical birds, monkeys, sloths, crocodiles and iguanas. (The other tours begin with a visit to the hanging bridges — your choice depends on how you want to experience the jungle.)
The tour continues with a hike to La Fortuna, which is one of the tallest waterfalls in the country, at 229 feet (70 m) tall. Once you reach the base of the waterfall you can enjoy a refreshing dip. After your swim, you'll continue to the town center of La Fortuna where a delicious lunch is waiting.
Next, you'll make your way Arenal Volcano National Park. Arenal Volcano is the second-most active volcano in the world. On your walk here you'll have excellent views of the volcano from a safe distance. Informative guides will take you into the dense rainforest to observe the incredible abundance of native wildlife.
In the evening, your tour will conclude with a visit to a thermal spa. You can choose from Baldí, Tabacón, or Eco Termales. Baldí offers more pools, and they have very different temperatures. Eco Termales is one of the most tranquil spots near Arenal, and the spa has an authentic Costa Rican vibe. Tabacón is another popular spot, and is basically a hot river that flows into multiple pools. You have a fourth option at Titoku, which is part of the Arenal Kioro Hotel. Titoku is one of the most recent additions to the area's collection of thermal springs, and has eight different pools for visitors to try. No matter which spring you choose, your thermal spa experience will include a large buffet.
