Costa Rica delivers on being the best travel destination for us. Our three kids had a blast from everything on this trip. This was the best trip our family ever had.
The best kind of vacation a family can ask for…
This was the best trip our family ever had. We got exactly what we asked for, except the hotels were *much better* than we expected! I sincerely felt like we got our money's worth and more. Manuel Antonio National Park is stunning, and was probably our favorite place in Costa Rica. Sloths and monkeys in the trees, a beautiful beach, good snorkeling — what more can a family ask for?
Why we’ll come back again…
Although I missed the 3-in-1 safari, waterfall, and volcano hike because my son was sick, my wife and kids got to do it, and she tells me it was the best. The tour guide even helped carry my daughter some of the way, to help relieve her weight. That's extraordinary! This is what I'll hopefully come back to do next time.
The secret gem in Monteverde…
Hotel Fonda Vela at Monteverde felt like a secret resort tucked away into the mountain. We didn't see any other guests at breakfast, that’s how quiet and serene it was. The room was gorgeous. All dark wood and wood furniture. Spectacular view, statues everywhere, little nature hikes, we loved this hotel. We even saw hummingbirds, armadillos, and other wild animals. I have recommended Anywhere to many of my friends now. I've never felt so satisfied and cared for by a third party.

Hermosa, which means "beautiful" in Spanish, is an aptly named gray-sand beach that perches between two mountains. Alajuela & SJO Airport

It is the capital city of the providence bearing its name and is located just 11 miles northwest (17 km) of San Jose. Just outside of town is where you'll find the Juan Santamaria International Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Santamaria), Costa Rica's principal airport.

Penas Blancas River
Known as the "white water gem of Costa Rica's Atlantic slope", the Penas Blancas River runs right through the Tilaran Mountain Range in north central Costa Rica. It then converges with the San Carlos River east of the Arenal Volcano.
