Our trip was perfect and our children will remember it as the trip of a lifetime, which was exactly what I had hoped. Usually, I would not revisit a country twice but I would go back to Costa Rica in a heartbeat.
The perfect destination for a holiday getaway…
Our family of five was looking for a warm getaway during the holidays, and we decided to go to Costa Rica. Roy and his team went above and beyond to make our trip seamless and worry-free. All of our arrangements were perfectly suited to our requests and *absolutely*, *exactly* what we said we were looking for in a vacation. Our whole family fell in love with Arenal and Uvita.
Family-friendly activities and stunning views…
Our children greatly enjoyed the hanging bridge tour in Arenal. The views were stunning, and we had a great time being so close to nature. Both places we stayed at on this trip were awesome. Arenal Manoa had amazing scenery outside our windows, and Cristal Ballena Bahia Resort had lovely suites and tons of space on its grounds.
They took care of us, every step of the way…
Our private drivers, especially Minor, were amazing and informative and made us comfortable, without exception. Roy even called us on our way to the airport to ensure we had no flight delays. We were very impressed with Costa Rica's sustainability and emphasis on being environmentally conscious. Usually, I would not revisit a country twice, as we don't travel as a family that often, but I would go back to Costa Rica in a heartbeat and book the whole trip through Anywhere.

Uvita
For a less crowded beach vacation, Uvita may be the ideal location. Sitting 11 miles (17 km) south of Dominical along Coastal Highway 34 (Costanera Sur), this tropical hamlet possesses great charm in an unspoiled, serene atmosphere. With palm trees swaying in the wind, providing shady relief from the intense Pacific sun, it may seem surreal that this environment is as uncorrupted as it is. It won't stay like this forever though, conditions will one day change and the secret of the Bahia Ballena will be out.

Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge
Just miles from the Nicaraguan border lays a phenomenal bird-watching and natural sightseeing heaven. Situated in the Northern Lowland plains is 25,000 acres (10,000 ha) of wetlands, rainforest and swampland that make up the Cano Negro National Wildlife Refuge (Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Cano Negro).
Rio Frio
Stretching across northwestern Costa Rica and into Nicaragua is the calm Río Frío. The most visited portion of the river is certainly the section that goes through the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, a great destination for river safaris and wildlife viewing.
