A Trip We Will Always Remember
This Costa Rica trip was so much more than we had expected. My eyes teared up when it was time to go home. In Costa Rica, there is so much respect for each other and the environment. We learned a lot on our trip, and cannot wait to return. Pura Vida!
A honeymoon experience we didn’t expect!
This was certainly one of those trips that we will always remember. We thought it was going to be a fun and relaxing honeymoon, but our trip to Costa Rica was much more substantial than that. Harold, our Anywhere expert, was so helpful throughout the planning process. His opinion and recommendations for different activities, as well as different towns and places, were much appreciated, as we felt we truly experienced the vast array of what Costa Rica has to offer.
In touch with nature, wildlife, and more...
We stayed at the Peace Lodge near La Paz Waterfall. The view from our room was breathtaking. We had SO much fun visiting the animals, especially loved feeding both the toucans and hummingbirds. Walking the waterfall trail was a great point on our honeymoon. A special surprise was at breakfast when they put fruit out for the birds in the tree next to the outdoor dining area.
The highlights of our trip…
In Arenal, Joshua was our Volcano hike guide, and he was awesome! He's a wealth of information, and quite good at finding the animals (especially snakes)! It was a long hike, but he made it so much fun. The views from the top of the lava trail were beautiful — you could see Arenal Volcano all the way down to the man-made lake at the base. It was nice to relax in the hot springs after the hike. Our experience rappelling down the waterfalls was AMAZING! I was SO scared before we started, but the guides were so professional and talented that I felt so safe and immediately at ease. I would do this again.
